Both Sam and Katie had to swap their wedding venue, their original venue closed just after the Covid pandemic. That was perhaps for the better, along came Sedgewell Barn . It offered a beautiful day for the happy couple and their guests. It was the first time I’d worked there and I’m hoping its not the last too. The views across the fields and the 60 acres of farmland gave a fabulous backdrop to the bridal portraits. There was even a good few sunflowers in the field to the front of the venue too.

This wedding season has seen a lot more emotion from our grooms, especially as they see the their beautiful bride walking towards them down the isle. Just like in Sam’s case, I love capturing emotion, after all it is my profession. Emotion makes a wedding, it shows the love and feeling between the couple and between the family and friends too.

Sedgewell Barn gave such beautiful lighting to almost ever shot, although the weather did give in slightly with a little rain. Yet the the barn gave way to the quest shots and one of my favourite confetti shots too. Did you know that one piece of confetti is called a confetto?
