I always question clients who want family portraits taken at home, locations are different, the beach, the woods, the moors all perfect. But at home you have those details sat in the background that can't always be taken out. In this case the conservatory was lovely and airy and i made the family aware of the backdrop. I have had client who have asked for portraits to be taken in their back garden, but once they have seen them asked for the neighbouring houses to be taken out, the bushes tidied etc. Something I made them aware of before the shoot.
